What a day.
Our final, full day up here in Colorado and we kept the high activity, happy energy going, going strong!

We woke to beautiful crisp weather…

And turned lemons into lemonade when we realized our favorite donut hole and empanada place isn’t yet open for the season (tragic!), and had to pivot…only to find what I declared the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. No joke. Like panini pressed or something amazing, with the flakiest tortillas and stuffed with incredible goodness.

Plus, pancake puffs and mini donuts. Presh!
This is Little Man, having a moment as he hysterically tried to riddle out of this was the bacon burrito or the everything burrito.

Then, off on a hike to the Sawmill Reservoir! So beautiful, and the same hike we did two years ago, so it was fun to have some comparison shots.

We recreated some of these shots by the water, and…I DIE.

After shopping, we had a yummy break for Thai food and dessert(s)…

And played by the river while we sipped some coffee…

Then, off to one of our fave excursions to…Country Boy Mine!

We signed up for this scavenger hunt that we really loved last time, and it was just as fun—especially since we had the same guide from last year!

Since the guide knew we were return customers, he went above and beyond with some little attentive extras—like some donkey feeding…

And then he tacked on the extra treat of firing up the monster truck and bringing us—and any other people around and interested—up to the top of the mine area. It’s so beautiful up there and was a fun, little ride.

Then, we rounded it all out with some gold paning…

By the time we made it back, we had just a few, quick minutes to wipe off our dirt and head to our scenic dinner.

Year after year, trip after trip, we love our time up here in Colorado. It fills our souls and gives up a happy family boost of cooler air, outdoor adventures and sooooo much smiley time together.

Ready to get back home to our Coda girl, tomorrow, and we’ll be diving into a busy VBS week.
Happy Saturday, peeps!
Over and out.
