Vail 2025–Day 2!

Man, peeps.

Every trip we make, every day we plan, I kind of assume that we can’t maintain the magic of being up here in Colorado.

And, yet…it’s always glorious.

After a rock-awesome arrival day, yesterday, we knocked it out of the park, again, with…

A simple breakfast, a morning hike (Booth Lake Trail; beautiful!), a happy lunch/coffee break, our first-ever family ATV excursion (!), more yummy food (and desserts!), and…a nighttime swim. :)

So. Many. Good. Things. And, happy, happy vibes!

Oh—and a beautiful day, when we originally expected otherwise!

Okay. Morning pics…

Whenever we’re missing Coda girl (there are so many happy pups, here!) we bust open Chicklet’s locket. And get some bonus Grandpa Jim! ;)

Lunchtime pics…

And…ATV pics!

We’ve obviously spent many happy trips up here in various cities in Colorado that we’ve got it down to a science. We always try to anchor some of our days with really awesome excursions. It’s just how we roll. And it’s always the best kind of challenge to see what we can find, next!

ATVs were not at all on my Bingo card, but when we found a really great 2.5-hour guided tour and realized one kid could ride with the guide and the other two with each of us, well…sold!

It was absolutely beauuuuuuutiful out there. Talk about scenery to fill my cup. I wish I could have taken pics and video throughout the entire trek, but, ya know…safety!

I’m pretty impressed with myself for not being too cowardly for this particularly activity. :) Was definitely a fun one, and a new sort of skill to tackle!

Snow, at higher elevations! :)

She only wished she could drive. ;)

It really was a fun way to spend our afternoon. We all left happy and tired—and maybe a little wind-burnt, ha.

We definitely earned our dinner and dessert—and the kiddos were happy little fish during their nighttime swim.

So grateful for another wonderful day, and all the time with my fam.

More adventures, tomorrow!

Over and out.
