Okay, peeps.
I’m about two thousand posts behind, and I’ll be real honest and give it to you straight: if I manage ONE post right now, before I have to shut it down for a bit, that’s probably the best we’re gonna get! And I’ll take it!
So…let’s rewind it back to last Friday, when I put on my 9th (but what felt like 2,467th) class holiday party.
How wild to only have Little Man to wrangle in elementary!
And even wilder to realize that next year might (*might, I hope, I really really hope!) be my last class holiday party to throw!
A complete decade of vinyl tablecloths, and easy/fun crafts, ceiling decor and happy inflatables! Plus, GAMES! Oh, the rowdy games!
Honestly, at this point, I’ve got it all pretty locked and loaded. Like a full party in a couple of storage bins, ha. A decade’s worth of knowledge accumulated on how to tackle things efficiently and happily. :)
As a side note…it was really hysterical—and different!—to really feel my age as I arrived for this particular party check-in. What I mean by that is: once upon a time, I showed up for these things and it was chock FULL of all my peeps. Mamas in my same life stage and parents to all my kiddos’ friends.
But, now, I’m the oldie! FINALLY, a new generation has started to creep up and more of my peeps have siphoned off or aged out.
It’s really, really lovely to feel like the elementary veteran close to hanging up my volunteer hat. An incredible feeling that only comes when you’ve put in the time and made it through. :)
Okay, enough rambling! I’ll try (really, really try) to tackle one more post, today, but…we’ll see!
Merry Christmas Eve, peeps!
Over and out.
