Short commentary ('cause the fun this weekend is only halfway done!), with a bunch 'o pictures.

And (drum roll, puh-lease)...a slip 'n slide!
We thought Chica might enjoy an outdoor party, since she loves running around outside sooooo much. And we just happen to have the perfect slope in our front yard to make the slip 'n slide work like a charm.
Add in family, friends, and some friendly neighbors who lend hoses and water hookups, and we were in business!
Chica pretty much set up camp in the splash pond at the end of the slide. She was Iike the official slide greeter, hehe.
But she also took a few brave turns herself, and minus a little face-dunking at the end, she handled it so well!
She was so happy to play with her cousins and friends, and I think everybody had fun!
Right around the time a little rain came, we shifted indoors to open gifts and eat cupcakes.
Oh...forgot to mention--Chicklet was there for the whole thing, of course. Strapped to Mama's chest for most of the time :)
My sweet, birthday girl was ready for a bit of quiet time when everything wrapped up, but I know she had a wonderful time, so I'm gonna declare #2 a success!
