The Blissful In-Between

So...it occurred to me this evening that our household has been blessed with the most wonderfully normal week ever.

Seriously.

Since Little Man's fever of a few days before Easter (another mild round of Fifth's Disease), the kiddos have all been well. Hallelujah! (And I'm crossing ALL my fingers and toes, and eyes, just for good measure, here.)

And I've been tired in the mornings, but not that sick kind of I'm-so-exhausted-I-can't-see-straight tired, which is also a blessing.

And, the weather has been stunning--to the point of even one chilly day this week--which had made outdoor fun totally appealing and not at all draining.

And...it was Daddy's birthday week--woohoo!--and we always luuuurv a reason to celebrate (and decorate!).

So all in all, I feel totally chill in the we're-constantly-chaotic-and-busy-but-it's-all-bueno kind of way this week.

And I'm sooooooo grateful.

We needed and in-between kind of breather.

So now, some pics. :)

Daddy's bday and my party planning helpers:

A music and movement class Chica, Little Man and I went to at the library today while sissy was in school:

Some gorgeous outdoor play at a nearby park afterwards:

And bonus to our bonus week--I had time to dabble in starting a new flower bed in the back (in what was formerly a particularly mud-prone area that drove me bat-shite crazy anytime I tried to let the kiddos play in the back):

More to do with it as time allows, but for now, at least it's a start. Or perhaps better than just a start, since it involved me hauling 18 bags of mulch and my back was sobbing afterward, ha.

But it was all worth it since we had torrential rain one day this week and I didn't have to deal with muddy grossness there afterward.

Woooooohooooo!

Oh, and Chica loved getting to be my special helper while the other two were napping. She made "monster soup" with random things she found in the yard, hehe.

And, lastly, it wouldn't be a normal week for us without sibling drama-trauma. And, man, do my kiddos fight with one another these days! Today's worst installment: this wad of hair that Little Man pulled from Chica's head for no appararent reason other than just being a stinker. Oye.

And, yes, she screamed bloody murder.

I would, too!

So...all in all, all good things. And I'm hopeful for a lovely Friday to round out the solid, productive, full-of-activity-and-play week.

Yay, normal!
