Holy Cow (Day)!

So...I'm just gonna say it. Chick-Fil-A is pretty much its own food group in our family.

Among the things I can't live without in my Mama life, Chick-Fil-A ranks in the top two (second only to Target, ha).

So when it came time for Cow Appreciation Day last week, we were all in--especially since we spaced and missed it last year and we were devastated.

The gist: dress up in cow gear and get a free meal.

Of course, I spent as much on the costume supplies as I would have on the meal, but the fun was in the doing and the participating.

And lemme just tell ya--this cow business is no monkey business here in Texas. It's a big deal, and everybody in the restaurant that day was happy, dressed-up and enjoying themselves.

It was great fun with a lovely sense of revelry and community, and I just didn't want to miss posting about it due to the craziness of last week.

So here you go...pics. :)

Chica helped me cut out the spot during nap time on Monday...

And then when got Chicklet out of her crib to help with the assembly...

Of course, we allowed for snack breaks...

Then, voila!

Then the next day, we were ready. :)

We even got free stuffed animal cows!

And got to see the giant cow.

It was seriously nothin' but happy summer vibes, and we'll definitely participate next year.

Happy Hump Day, peeps!
