Telluride 2024: Day 1!

Okay, peeps.

I’ve you’ve been following along on this here blog for any length of time, you already know that my crew lurvs Colorado in the summer.

We’ve been accidentally-on purpose making our way to so many lovely cities over the past few years:

Colorado Springs
Denver
Boulder
Estes Park
Glenwood Springs
Vail
Breckenridge

And, now…Telluride!

And even better, we have the hubby’s sister/husband/kiddos with us, as well!

I kid you not: each of the cities listed above has been so picturesque, but has also had something that makes it stand out with a Best Of that makes it impossible to rank them.

I can already tell that this one is going to go down as one of my favorite rental places we’ve ever stayed. A really fun (exhausting on the legs, ha) four story, chateau-like home that I could hands-down live in.

Best shower window view I’ve ever had…

Ditto, with the bath tub, tehe…

It has a beautiful, peaceful patio, jacuzzi, and a stairwell that leads to the literal slope that you could ski in winter…

Plus, Little Man’s dream scenario: table tennis! And, hysterically, a weight room and sauna back there, ha.

We all arrived mid/late afternoon, and took the gondolas down to old downtown for a delicious dinner—and chocolates.

I’m sooooo grateful for our arrival and first afternoon/evening—especially since it was almost a bust.

When our first flight was delayed by several hours, thereby making our connection impossible, we thought it was a no-go.

But the hubby worked some magic, we scrambled with new flights on two different airlines, had to Uber from one Dallas airport to the other one, under impossible timing, then race through baggage check to literally make it in under the wire with two minutes to spare.

It was wild.

And our blood pressure might take awhile to recover.

But I think the mountain air will go a looooong way toward helping!

More mañana, peeps!

Over and out.
