Monday Science Fun Day: Crunch Labs Duck Game!

Woohoo, peeps!! Double post day!! (A MIRACLE!)

Two, back-to-back Monday Science Fun Day engineering projects!

I’d love to type a bunch of glorious and detailed things about this one, but if you read the previous post, you’ll know that I’m just grateful to put forth some picture evidence that we’ve managed to get our science brains on. At least, a few times this summer. ;)

I particularly love the difference in visuals between the first Crunch Labs tackled the first week of June (see previous post), versus this second one, that we tackled the last week of June.

For this round, it was:

Pajamas for the win.

Drying (pool) hair, don’t care.

And lots of relaxed, chill, summer smiles.

This box was all about the engineering principle of a conveyor belt. And it obviously featured those fun ducks that you try to knock over at carnival games.

All good times—except for the fact that we could never get our conveyor belt situated with the perfect amount of tension. It was either too loose, so the ducks didn’t stay upright, or too tight, and the belt wouldn’t properly rotate. But it was a good challenge for us to try to troubleshoot, right??

And speaking of ducks…look at my three in a row, tehe:

I’ll tackle a whole separate post about the kiddos and their behavior this summer (mostly positive, and so much more agreeable toward one another than last summer).

But, in general, it’s been a beauuuutiful thing to capture them side by side by side on the upstairs or downstairs couch, happily cohabitating. Usually, after a strenuous round of swimming or conditioning camp or some other heat exhaustive type of play.

It’s extra sweet to see them in chill mode when we’ve been go-go-go.

Recharging is a MUST, peeps.

Especially in these final three-ish (GAHHHHH) weeks of summer break!

Okay, more catch-up posts coming!

Over and out.
