Deck the EVERYTHING Day!

Okay, peeps.

Leave it to HomeGoods to brand the thing I’ve done all my life: a massive explosive of early decorating the day after Halloween. Now, officially, the…

Deck The EVERYTHING Day, ha.

Obviously, I’m here for any real or made-up celebration, and this kind of early and often decorating is basically hardwired in my DNA.

Bring. It. On.

This year, I was massively sick for the few days following Halloween (well, just a few hours after, if we’re being technical), so my launch was just a teeny tiny bit delayed. But make no mistake—as soon as I could stand, I was hauling trees out of the attic and getting my festive spirit on!

It’s taken me two, full weeks to get it all out, but I now have…

Seven full-sized trees assembled and theme-decorated.

A kitchen situation above the cabinets that’s new and sparking a lot o’ joy.

Stockings on the mantel, all hung with care (and garland on the stairs and, well, pretty much everywhere else).

Holiday plates and cups loaded in prime dining position.

Kiddo room trees all cozy and happy.

Porch pots all gloriously festive and poinsettias-y.

Aaaaand, the hubby is plugging in the inflatables TONIGHT.

We. Are. Ready.

I’ll take oodles and gobs of pics in the coming days and share just a post of alllllll of it, but for now, I’ll share a tiny teaser of one unexpected bit of inspiration this year: the color pink!

Blame it on Barbie, maybe? Ha. Or, perhaps, it all started with these gift boxes I found…

Red and pink?? And pom-poms, to boot? Yes, please.

I also have a looming NYC trip for a Nutcracker excursion (so much more on that, later), so ballet pink, plus Land of Sweets vibes has felt super right).

I found this ribbon and fell in lurv. (Also, how have I never ribboned up my trees like this????!)

I had So. Much. Fun. with this one:

And if I wanted to completely empty my wallet, I couldn’t have gone even BIGGER with this theme, ha.

I really do love how this first one turned out (hi, Coda puppy; thank you for not eating the trees [much] this year!).

I will unabashedly always, always, ALWAYS decorate early with zero shame in my game. It’s so glorious to have a bit longer to enjoy it all. Plus, with the labor involved, I need a bit of time before dismantling, ha. ;)

Prepping for a big Friendsgiving thing I’m cooking up in a couple days on behalf of the hubby and his pickleball gang of dudes. I’m grateful to get to the point where the house is decked so the FOOD can begin.

More soon, peeps!

Over and out.

P.S. Chicklet was proud of her growth this year and how much higher she could reach on the tree, tehe.
