Snowmen At Night is one of my all-time favorite, favorite holiday books (WAAHOOOOOOOO! They yell, this is by far, the snowmen’s biggest thrill!).
It is also one of my favorite, favorite holiday kids’ books to read aloud. I love the cadence. And the whimsy. And the snowy spirit.
So imagine my JOY when Little Man came home a couple months ago and told me he’d be performing a Snowmen At Night 3rd grade musical.
I mean…I DIE.
He was soooo adorable in those early days of practice. He even performed the whole musical for us around Halloween and we were a lively and captive audience, tehe. So often, my youngest, beloved boy acts much older and wiser than his years, but this was one time that his adorable child/boy side got to come out, and it made me soooo happy. :)
The most hysterical part of the whole thing: finding jeans, per the concert wardrobe requirement, ha. My kiddos do NOT wear jeans (they’ve all rejected them all their lives…following in their mother’s footsteps ha.).
But we found this perfect whitewashed pair at Target-Jay and my boy looked so handsome. :)
It was a joy to watch him perform tonight, alongside all of his 3rd graders peers. It’s really striking me, lately, how fast these waning elementary years are going for our household. Precious, indeed.
And, look! How appropriate that one of our new inflatables this year is…yup. A snowman. :)
Happy Tuesday, peeps!
