Part 2 of our final day, here in Vail!
After our morning Goat Yoga (!) we went back down to Vail Village for a delicious lunch (and some coffee, naturally), then headed right back up to Vail Stables again, for our horseback riding excursion!
Riding is one of our favorite things to do in Colorado, and one of the things the kiddos’ continually request, no matter how many times we’ve been.
And I’m so pleased to report that, despite utilizing more than half-a-dozen vendors across several cities, we always have a wonderful time.
This trek was a particularly gorgeous trail. It’s hard to tell from the pics, but the Vail views were epic. I was just trying to behave and not take too many pics (shocking, I know).
It really was a gorgeous ride, another beautiful afternoon of weather, and an activity we always love.
Plus, like one of the wranglers said: if you’re sore when you’re done, you’ve done something right. And I can verify right here, right now: Mission Accomplished! My backside is delicate this evening, ha.
And, because I know the kiddos will want to know sometime in the future, these were our horses:
Chicklet: Smokey
Little Man:
Chica: Ray
Mama: Vegas
Daddy: Bear

This part of the trail took us through a forest of Ash trees that was particularly beautiful. Just stunning, all those light trunks and dappled sunlight.

Just a few other pics from our day to round out our time in Vail.

It’s been a wonderful three days, packed with so many activities. It was nice to wind down this evening, have a delicious dinner (Deco Bol), enjoy a tiny bit of souvenir shopping, and then pack it in back at the condo for some laundry and chill time.

More mañana, peeps!
