Okay.
The Cliff’s Notes of this whole trip:
When we hit pause to deal with Chica’s dental surgery, it threw a loop in our annual Tulsa-in-July trip to see grandparents. Boooo.
So we knew if we wanted to make it happen, we’d have to cram the same amount of fun in half as many days! That’s what we’re currently in the midst of: busy schedules to see everybody and do everything before we head back to San Antonio for the start of the school year!
Fast and furious is the name of the game!
I’m going a bit out of order in the posts, but yesterday, we made our annual trek out to Woolaroc; one of our favorite Summer/Oklahoma traditions. So many years running, now. :)
It was the best weather we’ve ever had for this excursion. We’re accustomed to near triple-digits and a whole lot of miserable sweating, but this year, we were gifted low 80’s and beauuutiful. I guess we have Chica to thank for that, since it would have been hot, hot, HOT if we’d managed our trip last week like originally planned.
When we launched this tradition so many years ago, I had no idea it would become one of my kiddos’ beloved Oklahoma traditions (just like the water balloon fight!).
I love that they have such joy for this excursion—and I’m not mad at the history they soak in, too!
Okay. Here’s a whole slew of pics, and some posts from prior years if you’re interested (or want to sob like I do when I see how my babies have grown!).
