Little Man’s First Grade Musical performance! Woohoo!
He’s been pumped about this gig for a few weeks, and even had a sweet little speaking part to anticipate. And I’m delighted to say the whole thing was stinking adorable and entertaining, and it was a delightful evening up at school amongst parents and little friends. :)
The whole thing was a barnyard theme, with each of the first grade classes representing a different animal. I might be partial, but I think Little Man’s class got the cutest “funky chicken” song and sunny yellow shirts. TOTES adorbs.
The choreographed movements were hysterical and entertaining, and Little Man did all of them—despite telling me a few weeks ago that he wasn’t sure if he was going to, ha.

Also, I lurv, lurv that he decided to wear his orange shorts because he thought it made for the most chicken-like ensemble.
Per tradition, we went out to eat as a family afterwards, and Little Man had a grand old time with the Pokémon cards we gave him as a performance gift. :) Far better than a stuffed animal, tehe.

And I’m even glad for the Book Fair—even though it cost me an arm and a leg. ;) But look at the fan-freaking-TASTIC reusable bags we got out of it! Ha.
