Yesterday was a pretty brutal day.
More on that (and so much more) in upcoming posts, but I woke this morning and knew we needed to do something to regroup and re-set our energy.
Enter: A project!
Our go-to way to shut off electronics, spend quality time together, and focus on a creative task with an accomplished, visual result.
And this one was so lovely!
Layered Felt Butterflies.
I mean, I don’t think you can get any happier than that. :)
Better still, it was a complex project (in terms of layering and positioning everything correctly), but also, such a simple one.
I’d also like to thank Coda puppy for dozing beside the table and letting us get our craft on. ;)
So…yay, for rainy days. And for re-setting life with a little concentrated togetherness time, some Harry (see above pic), a couple of extra-curriculars, an impromptu hang session with friends, a yummy spaghetti dinner, and..more rain.

Exactly what we needed on such a gloriously stormy morning (RARE for a South Texas July!).
It was definitely a winner—and a great way to turn our moods around. :)

I’ll take it!
We actually did another project this past weekend (I know; a miracle), so, hopefully, I’ll get that one posted maƱana.
More then, peeps.
Over and out.
